The Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA) is a public institution with financial autonomy subordinate to the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization with the mission of supporting the development of the domestic entrepreneurial environment, including small and medium-sized enterprises, by promoting entrepreneurial culture, providing financial and technical assistance to companies, issuing financial and state guarantees, as well as ensuring business support infrastructure.Â
ODA grants non-reimbursable financing directly to entrepreneurs based on the business risk assessment and the viability assessment of investment projects. At the moment, the grant programs aim to cover the entire activity cycle of companies with an orientation towards the growth and internationalization of domestic businesses. At the moment ODA implements 8 grant programs, (another 3 are in development).Â
ODA's long-term objective is to become a credible, transparent, flexible and well-governed financial institution that can support the Government's economic policies. At the same time, ODA must become the institution that can absorb and channel to entrepreneurs the financial resources made available in the context in which the Republic of Moldova has become a candidate state for the EU. Also, through its tools, ODA can make the support offered to domestic entrepreneurs more efficient and achieve a more sustainable development of the national economy.Â
